Training program "Master Class" in collaboration with AstraZeneca on liquid biopsy in lung cancer.

The Clinical and Molecular Pathology Laboratory at Nice University Hospital (Pr P. Hofman) is a leading center in the field of liquid biopsy using both Amplicon and Hybrid-Capture NGS strategies. A training program called "liquid biopsy expertise center" has been set up in collaboration with the AstraZeneca laboratory. Liquid biopsy, which is less invasive than tissue biopsy and takes less time to analyze, is recommended internationally.

The LPCE was pleased to host an innovative Master Class training program spread over four sessions and to share its knowledge and expertise with dynamic and multidisciplinry team members.

The techniques covered for liquid biopsies mainly involved cfTNA extractions using the Qiagen method, preparation of libraries using different NGS strategies : on both ThermoFisher Scientific Oncomine-S5 and OPA-Genexus, and on Roche-Avenio ctDNA (Illumina 500/550DX sequencing).
