My name is Ruzica Biga and I come from Serbia. I finished integrated studies of Pharmacy in 2017 and soon after I decided to continue both my personal and professional development and to broaden my accomplishments and skills. For that reason I spent near 3 years abroad getting various types of knowledge and experiences. I have decided to join Master Program Biobanking and Complex Data Management at Cote d’Azur Univerisity because it is a unique chance to emerge myself in field of management of biobanks and shape my future. I am strongly interested in this field for numerous reasons, mainly because I found expansion of biobanking data extremely important for the discovery of diseases and treatments, in the most ethical and patient-friendly way. Becoming the beneficiary of IDEX Scholarship will tremendously help me during the studies, allowing me to focus on the lectures and professional development and at the same time it will provide me with more free time to explore amazing city of Nice. What is more this scholarship provides me with opportunity to continue my education in the field that is of high importance and hence to fulfill my professional goals of becoming part of biobanking management team. Working on a position for designing the structure of the biobank that will enable scientists and clinicians better understanding of complex diseases, is what attracts me.
